Ian Gelder, an accomplished British actor who played the fan-favorite character Kevan Lannister in the massively popular HBO fantasy series 'Game of Thrones,' has passed away at the age of 74.

The actor died Monday of complications from Parkinson’s disease, according to his agent, Amanda Hutton, who confirmed his death to The Hollywood Reporter.

Gelder's career in film and television spanned decades, with memorable appearances in productions like 'Doctor Who,' 'Torchwood,' 'The Forsyte Saga,' 'Ripper Street,' and 'Prime Suspect.'

He made his mark on the small screen, especially with his nuanced portrayal of the scheming and ruthless Kevan Lannister, who appeared in 12 episodes of 'Game of Thrones.' In recent years, he continued to grace the screen, including in the 2022 film 'Mrs. Harris Goes to Paris.'
