British Actor Ian Gelder Dies at 74
Known for Appearing in Game of Thrones, Netflix's 'Bridgerton'
British actor Ian Gelder, best known for portraying Kevan Lannister in the hit HBO series Game of Thrones, has passed away peacefully at the age of 74. The news of his passing was announced by his husband, fellow actor Ben Daniels, who expressed how deeply saddened he was by the loss.
Gelder's career has spanned over four decades and includes a vast array of film and television appearances. In addition to his role as Kevan Lannister, who served as regent to King Tommen Baratheon in Game of Thrones, he played Lord Goring in the period drama series Upstairs, Downstairs.
Gelder also has a sizeable presence on stage, having appeared in numerous productions in London's West End, including My Fair Lady, La Cage aux Folles, and Peter Pan. His partner, Ben Daniels, is most recognized for his role as Adam in the Starz series The Great.
