Former Married At First Sight contestant Booka Nile has suffered a tragic family loss just hours after giving birth to her first baby. The 31-year-old reality star and musician announced the heartbreaking news on Instagram on Thursday, revealing that her father had passed away suddenly.
"It is with a heavy heart that I share some devastating news," she wrote. "My beautiful father passed away suddenly yesterday, just hours after I gave birth to my precious baby boy."
"I am absolutely heartbroken and devastated. My father was my best friend and the most amazing man I have ever known. He was always there for me, no matter what."
"I am so grateful for the time I had with him and for all the love and support he gave me. I will miss him so much."
Booka's fellow Make Them Suffer band members also expressed their condolences on social media.
"Our thoughts and prayers are with Booka and her family at this difficult time," they wrote. "Booka is an incredible person and an amazing musician, and we are so grateful for the time we had together in the band."
"We know that Booka will get through this and come out stronger than ever. We are here for her whatever she needs."
Booka's departure from Make Them Suffer was announced last month. The band did not give a reason for her exit, but they wished her all the best in her future endeavors.
